Soulmate Showdown – A Fun Card Game Where You Get To Know Your Partner and The Group Even Better!

Soulmate Showdown is your chance to compete against friends and family to determine which couple is the most compatible set of Soulmates. Each couple will move through three phases of compatibility. The first, Agree or Disagree, will challenge your ability to respond quickly to random questions about your relationship. The second, Know Your Partner, will test which couple is on the same wavelength. The third, Trivia, will analyze how well each couple works together under pressure.

Game Setup: To begin place the Timer, Playing Cards, and Trivia Cards on the table. Now, split the playing cards in half and turn one of the decks over. You now have two decks of playing cards. One reading Agree or Disagree and the other reading Know Your Partner. As you use cards out of each deck flip the used cards over and place it into the opposite deck so you can play both sides of the cards.

Game Play: Pair up with your Soulmate. If there is an odd number of players, someone in the group can play with two Soulmates so everyone has a good time. Now choose a couple to go first. Soulmate Showdown is played in 3 rounds. Round 1 each couple will play Agree or Disagree. Round 2 each couple will play Know Your Partner. Round 3 each couple will play Trivia.

Keeping Score: Keeping score is simple. Soulmate Showdown is played in 3 rounds. Total up the scores acquired during each round of play to find your winner.

Game Tip: If you decide to help the person in the group that does not have a soulmate present, it is in your best interest to have a lower point total with this new partner. It is never recommended that you beat your current soulmate while playing this game with someone else. They will never forgive you. ENJOY!!!

Round 1 – Agree or Disagree

To play, each member of the couple must use the Agree or Disagree Sign Cards. Each partner will place the Agree Card in their left hand and the Disagree Card in their right hand. Flip the timer over and designate another player to read as many Agree or Disagree Question Cards as they can before time expires. Each matching response from the couple will result in a point. After the time has expired, count the number of cards where the couple had the same response, write down the point total, and flip the playing cards over into the Know Your Partner pile.

(Complete this process until each couple has completed their turn and repeat after each Round)

Round 2 – Know Your Partner

First, designate one member of the couple to use the Agree or Disagree Sign Cards. This partner will place the Agree Card in their left hand and the Disagree Card in their right hand. The other partner will answer each question based on what their soulmate would be thinking, NOT from their own perspective. The non-answering partner with the Agree and Disagree Cards will judge the responses of their Soulmate. If they agree with their response, they will put up the Agree Card and receive a point. If they do not agree with the response, they will put up the Disagree Card and receive no point. Be honest here and have fun. NO CHEATING! After the time has expired, count the number of cards where the couple agreed, write down the point total, and flip the playing cards over into the Agree or Disagree pile.

Round 3 – Trivia

To play the Trivia round designate a card reader for each couple. Flip the timer over to begin. The goal is to correctly answer as many Trivia questions as possible within the allotted time. The correct answer for each Trivia question is indicated with the * symbol.
